Binaries from Infiscape
Binaries of VR Juggler 2.2.1 are provided by Infiscape Corporation. Those that are currently available are listed below. More may be availble soon, so please check back.
For Windows, the following installation wizards can be used:
- Visual C++ 7.1 32-bit (includes documentation; requires Java 1.5 or newer for VRJConfig)
- Visual C++ 8.0 SP1 32-bit (includes documentation; requires Java 1.5 or newer for VRJConfig)
- Visual C++ 8.0 SP1 64-bit (includes documentation; requires Java 1.5 AMD64 or newer for VRJConfig)
For Linux, RPM packages have been built for
the C++ and Java code as well as the documentation. These RPMs are available
for direct download or through the use of
Yum. RPMs for all
dependencies not included with the base distribution or as part of an
extras
repostiory are provided. Recommended packages to install using
Yum are the following:
- juggler: The C++ run-time libraries needed for executing compiled C++ applications.
- juggler-devel: The C++ header files and libraries needed for compiling and linking C++ applications.
- juggler-java: The Java parts of the VR Juggler Suite including VRJConfig. This requires Java 1.5 or newer.
- gadgeteer-docs: The Gadgeteer documentation in HTML and PDF.
- jccl-c++-docs: The JCCL C++ API reference in HTML and PDF.
- jccl-java-docs: The JCCL Java API reference in HTML.
- sonix-docs: The Sonix API reference in HTML and PDF.
- tweek-c++-docs: The Tweek C++ API reference in HTML and PDF.
- tweek-java-docs: The Tweek Java API reference in HTML.
- vpr-docs: The VPR documentation in HTML and PDF.
- vrjconfig-docs: The VRJConfig Java API reference in HTML.
- vrjuggler-docs: The VR Juggler documentation in HTML and PDF.
Plug-ins for Gadgeeter—both device drivers and cluster plug-ins—are packaged separately from the "gadgeteer" package. Use yum to search for packages starting with "gadgeteer-driver" and "gadgeteer-plugin."
Red Hat Enterprise Linux and CentOS
RPM packages for VR Juggler 2.2.0 are available for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 (i386 and x86_64) and 5 (x86_64 only). Copy and paste the text below into the file /etc/yum.repos.d/infiscape.repo or install the infiscape-release package:

file shown above for your platform to install the PyJuggler packages using
Yum. Recommended packages to install using Yum are the following:
- pyjuggler: The basic PyJuggler extension modules.
- pyjuggler-docs: The PyJuggler documentation in HTML and PDF.
The following additional packages can be installed, though they are not likely to work due to the lack of packaging of the noted dependencies.
- pyjuggler-opensg: Python bindings for vrj::OpenSGApp—requires pyOpenSG 0.1.
- pyjuggler-osg: Python bindings for vrj::OsgApp—requires pyOSG.
